Thanks for taking time to write this up, I just didn’t have the time, and therefore, I linked this on my blog.
Thanks again.

On futher review, the
“Jumbo Frames Are Not Available on VMkernel Networking Interfaces in ESX Server 3i”
Since I am still new to VMware and am not currently running Jumbo Frames on a Cisco Switch, for iSCSI, what type of a impact would this have vs ESX?
We are looking to compliment ESXi / ESX with a iSCSI San in the future, and are leaning towards ESXi for our Tier 1 VMware Servers.

Roger, no problem on the link, link anytime. Actually iSCSI and jumbo frames are not supported in ESX or ESXi. Take a look here:

Hi Dave
Keep the weekly kb articles coming. They are very helpful. Do the articles get published somewhere that is publically visible? The Update manager client issue was interesting, and if I hadn’t seen it here I wouldnt have known an article existed for it.
In regards to the patches, I personally have found the subscription service for patch notification to be very very sporadic. I have two differnt accounts setup to recieve the alerts, and so far neither have recived this latest round or the round before emails saying the patches are out.
Not your fault by any means, and I do keep up with alerts from this and other websites, but for customers who can’t spend all day trawling the VMware site it is an issue.
Keep up the great articles and blogs.
Cheers
David

The new/updated articles do not get published specifically on a “notification” page but you can search by date ranges here: http://kb.vmware.com
I agree with the notifications being sporatic, I’m on those disti lists as well and I don’t see them sometimes either. I raise that up the chain, thank you.
